Who are we? We're not even sure, but it's nice to meet you. We are a group of enlightened folk who want nothing more than for this community to continue changing for the better. Out with old in with the new. #cumby
Sit, wait, watch, listen. These are words to live by. If you consider each and every one of them in their own way and truly try to understand their views, you'll understand yourself. This is what we do. If you've ever felt yourself looking at a Facebook group and thinking something along the lines of "Holy shit what has happened here", perhaps you should also consider these words and do as we do. Be seen, be heard, at once, move forward.
We write about the happenings and the not-happenings in Cumberland. We write about why change is good, and why we call it Cumby. We write about the need for sidewalks, the need for more bike wash stations, the need for more boutique shops and less hotels. Give it a read, you shan't be disappointed.
Here in Cumby we've got many places to go. Ideally we'd have more boutique shops, but as we've recently discovered, there's more of those on the way! If you feel like hanging out at a brewery, we've got it. Do you feel like hanging out in a coffee shop? We've got multiple. Maybe you'd like to hang out somewhere a little more exotic? Perhaps like a Starbucks? We don't have that yet, but we promise, we're working on it.
Resident And Photographer
It feels like months that I've been looking for the right place for me. I found it in Cumby.
Local
I moved here 3 months ago and I have nothing but mostly good things to day about this place. Move to Cumby, you won't regret it.
Resident
A few years ago I looked at Cumberland and thought, absolutely no way. There's nothing there. Fast forward to Cumby now, we've basically got a new Squamish. I'm. All. In.
